God planted the seed for HURRAY GOD! in my heart at the age of ten when He answered a simple, earnest prayer. Over time, He continued to build on that early experience which today forms the foundation for this anthology series.

Jeanette is HURRAY GOD!’s founder, head cheerleader, office administrator, and creative advisor.

Since childhood, it’s been Jeanette’s passion to love and share Jesus with others. Teaching Bible studies, being involved in prayer groups and sharing the wonderful things God has done is second nature to her. Writing is an extension of that passion.
- Julia Cameron’s The Artist’s Way erased any remnant of doubt about writing that may have lingered in her mind. Cameron’s “Morning Pages” and instruction inspired her to pursue further study.
- In 2003, Jerry B. Jenkins Christian Writers Guild’s online Apprentice Course provided a basic understanding of the writing world. A skilled professional writer mentored her over a two-year period covering a series of fifty lessons.
- In 2008, Leafwood Publications published her first short story, Five Boxes of Christmas Cards, in A Scrapbook of Christmas Firsts.
- An Unscheduled Stop will be included in Cup of Comforts Book of Bible Promises scheduled for release in the spring of 2010.
- Jeanette is a member of Words For The Journey Christian Writers Guild, Writers on the Storm, the local chapter of ACFW, and Toastmasters International.
HURRAY GOD!, Jeanette’s current work in progress, is the first in a series of books that feature an array of short answered prayer stories. Other books in the series will include

Jim is HURRAY GOD!’s CFO. He is also Jeanette’s wise counselor, best friend, number one fan, and loving husband.

Music is in his DNA. He joined his church choir at age fifteen, and several years later, started his church’s first youth choir. In 1972, he placed his university education on hold to travel with Living Sound before returning to complete his degree in Business Administration.
In 1979, a close relative urged him to consider a career path in the Oil and Gas Industry. One taste of this new arena and he was hooked. He never looked back. Today he is the Director of Land Administration at Southwestern Energy.
Jim’s love for the Lord has its moorings in the strong Christian heritage of his spiritually rich ancestry. People whose lives bore witness to answered prayer. From material provision to miraculous healings, they turned to God first. After they prayed, they expected and anticipated His response. God never let them down.
In 1982 Jim married the love of his life and best friend, Jeanette. Theirs is a story destined for print, painted with the fingerprints of God. They have been happily married for twenty-seven years. Jim has served as a deacon, Minister of Music, and Bible teacher.
He and Jeanette attend Crossroads Baptist Church in the Woodlands, TX. He enjoys reading and studying God’s Word, watching OU football and basketball, and walking Maggie, their six-year-old shi tzu.
